Who we are. Musette Travel is operated by Algarve Cycling Hub, Lda, Largo do Poço 2A, 8600-102 Luz (Almádena), Lagos, Portugal, RNAVT 12588, RNAAT 804/2016, the controller for your personal data. Contact: hello@musette.travel, +351 917 019 200.

What we collect and why. Enquiries via Plan your trip: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number if you give one, country, group, dates, level and message, to answer you and prepare a proposal. Legal basis: steps before a contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b). Bookings: names, dates of birth where hotels or insurers need them, an emergency contact and food preferences; you pay by bank transfer, we do not take card payments on this site. Legal basis: the contract, and our legal duties as a travel agency (accounting, tax and travel-agency records). Health information, such as allergies, intolerances, injuries or mobility needs, we only use with your explicit consent, given when you book, to keep you safe and fed well. We share it only with your guide and the hotels or restaurants that need it. If you book for a group, please share this policy with the people you book for; we also send it to every traveller with the confirmation. Newsletter: your email only, on your consent, with an unsubscribe link in every email. Website use: what is needed to make the site work, such as remembering your cookie choice; with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies to count visits and measure our ads (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel). Legal basis: consent, GDPR art. 6(1)(a). See Cookies. We also count visits with Umami on our own server in Germany: it sets no cookies and stores no IP address or anything else that identifies you, only totals such as pages, countries and where visits come from. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used, GDPR art. 6(1)(f).

What you must give us. Names and contact details, to get a proposal or to book. Without them we cannot prepare or make the booking. Everything else is optional. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to decide anything about you.

Messages, open weeks and the waitlist. Messages via Contact, open-week requests and the Montado waitlist: name, email and what you wrote, used to answer you. Legal basis: steps before a contract or our legitimate interest in answering you. Enquiries, requests and bookings are kept in our customer system (Odoo).

Who sees it. The hotels and restaurants we book for you, our guides and drivers, our insurer where relevant, our accountant, and the services that run the site and our office: Vercel (hosting of this website; forms are processed in Frankfurt, Germany), Odoo S.A., Belgium (our customer system, hosted in Europe), Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany (our server, visit statistics with Umami), Google (email, and with your consent Google Analytics and Google Ads) and, with your consent, Meta (Meta Pixel). We do not sell your data.

Where it goes. Google, Meta and Vercel are or belong to US companies; data that reaches the United States is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (an EU adequacy decision) or the EU standard contractual clauses. Where we rely on the EU standard contractual clauses, you can ask us for a copy at hello@musette.travel. For the Meta Pixel, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd are joint controllers for collecting and sending the data to Meta; the essence of that arrangement is at facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum.

How long. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: two years. Bookings: accounting and tax records ten years, as Portuguese law requires; health information until six months after your trip; other booking details two years after your trip. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights. Access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawing consent at any time. Write to hello@musette.travel. You can complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, CNPD, at cnpd.pt.

Changes. We update this page when our practice changes.
